Almost real now: final preparations and going-away party

The house is empty, we moved the last of our boxes and furniture up in the attic. Our house sitters will start to move their stuff in....and mixing their 3 cats with our 4 cats, Peso, Maggie, Tashi and Midas.

Yesterday afternoon we had a beer-and-potato chips get-together with friends and neighbors.

Friends help me hoist the heavier items of furniture up to our second floor loft. Our house-sitters will have full reign of the first floor and basement.

Friends and neighbors are coming over to say their farewells.

Bikes are in the boxes, the rest of our gear fits in a smaller box and duffel bag.

Tomorrow we fly to the Netherlands!
