Robert Ferrari, from Virginia cycling coast to coast. We later cycled together for about 2 weeks. And then met up again later in New Hampshire after he'd finished his ride and meet his wife Julie.

This is another "informal" warmshowers host in Colville. We were looking for camping at the campground that no longer allowed tents. As we were riding away, he offered his yard.

IDAHO

MONTANA

We were in city campground and this couple fixed us noodles

This truck driver kept 4 cars behind him on a hill we were climbing until we found a place to pull over. We caught up with him and had a chance to thank him. This area is where we were "coal rolled" by trucks.

We are almost to Glacier NP, and this cyclist says "Are you Patrick and Rachel". She is a warmshowers member but was unable to host us.

Camping in Glacier NP, Kim Johnson finds us and becomes our cheerleader. Trajan is camped next to us on a 9 week ride

Going over Marias Pass, Kim brings us popsicles. Perfect for the heat.

A couple cycling over the pass benefit from Kim's generosity and have popsicles too.

The mayor comes by to make sure we understand on which side of the park the sprinklers will turn on. We move the picnic tables and pitch our tents in the shelter

These two were having a civil political discussion. The older gentleman was the math teacher of the younger man.

At a convenience store, the cashier takes time to talk with us. She has moved here to take care of her father.

This gentleman stopped to give us directions to an alternative route

NORTH DAKOTA

Camping in the shelter at the golf course, we watch these ladies play and they come over to talk with us

Patrick says "You're famous" and shows her the picture he had seen in another journal. Her friend says "Look, you are wearing the same shirt."

The caretaker of the gold course was concerned that we would be gone the next day as there was an event at the golf course.

We go to the local bar for dinner. This gentleman is selling tickets for a raffle.

And the lady at the golf course comes in and we visit more

MINNESOTA

We are cycling on the Paul Bunyan Trail and this cyclist invites us to his home

and we meet his wife who makes us root beer floats

WISCONSIN

Danbury WI, a couple from La Crosse camp next to us. They are on a loop ride.

"That gentleman in the corner paid for your breakfast," the waitress says. The man had already left so no picture. We asked the waitress to tell him that we "will pay it forward."

Almost to the end of the Gandy Dancer Trail. This local cyclist confirmed the trail to the right goes to the city.

On the Red Cedar Trail we meet some local cyclists

This gentleman paid for our campsite when he overheard our conversation with the employee of the campground. We told him we will "pay it forward."

Just at the beginning of the Great RIver trail we meet these two cyclists from Texas on day rides. We later see them again on the Elroy Sparta Trail

We see a group of a dozen kids with loaded bikes and adults, they are cycling the Bike 4 Trails

On the Military Ridge Trail, a Community cafe in Barneveld, the busy cook and shy waitress

He says "It goes on forever", so we turn back and onto the road for a short distance

Our warmshowers host rides us out of Waukesah on bike path and we meet two cyclists heading south to Milwaukee

MICHIGAN

We stopped at a bakery and this group of local cyclists were out for a ride

Our warmshowers hosts invite two friends to ride with us to a cafe for breakfast

Local cyclists, they own a restaurant south of here

Good Tennessee friends, Wendy and Greg Clark who are housesitting and we stay a day

OHIO

We had stopped for a break, this couple out in their garden walk over to talk with us.

After breakfast, Patrick has a flat, the people in the background came over to offer a ride if needed.

PENNSYLVANIA

A road angel stops to ask if we need a warm place to dry out.

Keith AdamsWhat a great idea: collecting all the people photos in one page really concentrates them and drives home the point that you meet an endless stream of wonderful people on the road.
