Day 76: Rest Day in Kent
Cycling connections
A very nice rest day. We sleep in just a little bit, enjoy coffee with Fritz, have some breakfast and take care of a few chores like doing laundry, cleaning the bikes and catching up on our journal.
The last couple of days we have been in touch with Pete, another Kent resident who runs a website dedicated to connecting local bike routes. He picks us up to have lunch and discuss our route plans. Pete’s wife Judy and Fritz also join in. We have Thai food, something we have been missing. After lunch we make a brief stop at a local brewery to sample a local beer. We will meet Pete here tomorrow and he will guide us out of town and partway to Warren, our next destination.
Jo Ann, Fritz’s wife arrives home in the afternoon. We have a nice time visiting, enjoying their beautiful garden and another nice meal and more homemade wine. The three cats Ziggy, Pete and Tony make us miss our own. It will be hard to move on tomorrow.
