Skardu: Day Hike and Mosque

We try again for a day hike. On the way we visit the Mosque.

We visit the mosque. This area is Shia and foreigners are not always allowed but our guides go and check for us. We are welcome to visit the grounds. but not allowed to go inside to main building.

Payer mats have been removed from the mosque, probably for cleaning.

Ornate door at mosque. We can go no further, but Nahid takes our camera to snap some pictures inside for us.

After touring the Mosque, we continue on for the hike.

The start of the day hike.

We go for a hike to a small "eco-village" just outside of Skardu.

We stop for lunch

At the village we have fried fish, french fries and fried bread.
