Day 43: On the ferry on the Mediterranean Sea
Water Water Everywhere
“I didn’t expect a wake-up call,” Rachel says. “There are lots of announcements, Patrick adds. After 6 weeks of waking up by the Call to Prayer, we thought we’d left that behind. And the wake-up call is at 8am, our regular time of waking this past month is 6am. Central Europe is ahead of Morocco by two hours and we wonder how long it will take us to adjust.
We have breakfast of yogurt and granola in our cabin. And a bit later Patrick finds a sandwich for us to share. The day is mostly spent working on photos and the journal, resting and an occasional wandering around the boat.

“Hello friends,” Genevieve says walking past our cabin, “We are going to watch the sunset and then eat.” We go out on deck and watch the sunset with a paradigm shift: most times we are land watching the sunset over the water, and now it’s the reverse. We have dinner in the cafeteria again with Genevieve and Pierre, then say goodnight.
