Day 6 Drive from Silver City to Dolores CO

Processing the crack in the windshield

"I've been in the car before and thinking wow, I'd rather be on my bike," Patrick says and then continues. "But not now, I'm just as happy driving." We have been on a 8 hour drive and refueling in Dolores, CO.

"I've been watching the crack in the windshield grow into 3 directions," Rachel says. When we were just on the road in the middle of Nevada with very little traffic, a rock pinged the windshield. The next morning the crack began. After 4 days, when Frans and Petra picked us up in Silver City, the crack had grown even further. Something in our touring has cracked.

The universe is telling us to bail out of the Great Divide Route.

We were having problems with the electrical of the trailer and stopped to have work done.

After checking if it was ok that we are in a vehicle, we arrive at the WS host in Dolores, CO.

WS host is a woodworker, Patrick is impressed.
