As we are stop taking a break, a father and son bikepacking come around the bend. We saw them yesterday taking a break and had slowed down to check that everything was ok with them. They live in Ketchum and have been out on the loop for 8 days.

We stop at the Smokey Creek Bar. This is a must stop with a store and they cater to bicyclists. There's a bike rack and bike pump, picnic tables and a bunkhouse. They have a plethora of hummingbirds flitting around. Even a motorcycle helmet with attached feeders, so with the helmet on, the hummingbirds feed at eye level. The Father and Son bikepackers were just to set off.
When we reach the hotsprings, there's not much shade. Patrick finds a few trees above the hotsprings and he pushes the bikes up where we camp. We see two bikepackers on the road past the springs. Later they ride back to enjoy the hot water.

There are several small pools scattered about, mostly too hot for us for now. One pool down by the creek was perfect.
We have wine in a plastic wine container. For dinner, packaged shredded Beef, Rice and Beans on tortillas, and hot sauce.
Today's ride: 30 miles (48 km)
Total: 185 miles (298 km)
