Day 13 After all, it is Nice to be back home

Working on the house and in the garden

We arrive home just in time to help our neighbor of 27 years, Christine celebrates her 60th Birthday.

Christine is lead singer in a band and provides the entertainment.

Christine provides the entertainment at her party with the band she sings with, Sherpa Jams.

As we pull into the driveway, we are blown away at how good the garden looks. We feel lucky that we have such a beautiful place to return too.

We take walks in some of the many trails around the city.

We are home in time to get together with Bob and Cynthia with Bob's mom visiting. And to watch Holland play football.

And then there are projects around the house. The Hot Water Heater needs replacing.

It's nice for Patrick to have Fran's help

Frans and Petra are repainting the Deck and garden feature.

And taking advantage of help with Frans and friend Brandon to dismantle the green shed in preparation for Patrick to build the tiny house.

Petra breaks up the work on the garden and house with rock painting for the garden.

We return from 8 days of cycling in time to celebrate the 4th of July.

Rachel and Patrick HugensTo Rachael AndersonPatrick has remodeled over the 26 years that we've owned the house, and definitely made a haven. Why are not particularly sad, just disappointed, to return home without the GDMBR ride. Totally appreciate the encouragement from you and Scott. I'll be 72 in August, just hard to admit aging changes.
