Manduria to Lecce

Today ended the first half of our tour riding from our accommodation near Manduria to Lecce.  We started by taking a wrong tour exiting the Masseria property so we had a few extra kms.  The ride was generally unimpressive and really just a way to get to Lecce.  We passed through vram country and olive groves again seriously affected by the bacteria or virus that is destroying the trees.  We arrived in Lecce mid afternoon so we had sometime to look around but since we will be back here for an extra day we didn’t rush things.  We had an included wine tasting tonight where we also had our briefing for the next week and then followed by another lovely dinner.  The next part of the trip is pretty flat but lots of things to see and do including  a cooking class.

The bruises from my fall are starting to show themselves but all is good.
