Bill ShaneyfeltGreat blue heron. Common here in Ohio. Once while fishing, one hung around about 10 feet away. I was catching too-small bluegills regularly and tossing them back, when I decided to see if it would like one, so I tossed one about 6 feet away, and immediately, the heron came over and gobbled it up! I did that about 5 more times, and it was finally about 3 feet away when it must have had enough, and flew off.
