Montell to Lodges of Lost Maples

Alice was up and out before 6:30am this morning. She is a wonderful woman. We really enjoyed our stay here. We took off around 9am and headed for Camp Wood.

We did some climbing. This is actually a shot I took trying to get Emma's orange shirt to show as she looped around the hill and headed up toward us. Stephen was helping by saying, 'NOW' when she would show between the bushes but I couldn't time it right. She is over there though!

There's some exotic animals in the field but hard to see.

Camp Wood. Not much to eat but we had to get something to carry us up these hills.

Across from the Dollar Store. The trees are very pretty around here.

Amazing climbs in the hill country. The roads cut right into the hills.

Lunch in Leakey at the Bent Grill. It was yummy.

We had a nice rest here and it was sunny and warm. we sat ourside.

The antelopes stood up so you can see them here.

This was as we were entering the hill country.

This is our cabin at Lost Maples Lodges. Jeralyn manages them and she gives a special cyclist rate.

Beautiful back yard. We sat out on the back deck and enjoyed the sun.

Jeralyn stopped over and brought us cranberry banana bread. It was delicious. We loved staying here.
