ECG Rocks!

Beaufort to Jacksonboro

Very nice stay at the Quality Inn in Beaufort!

We headed over to the Bi-Lo Grocery store to get food for tonight and tomorrow morning.

Then we headed over to the Spanish Moss Trail.

Very pretty morning.

We were on the path for several miles.

Of course we had to cross some swamp! No Gators out. It's a bit too cool for them I think.

The ECG has teamed up with the Local trail and they are continue to add on to this path.

We had back roads the rest of the way up to 17 with less than 2 miles on Highway 21. Excellent job of the ECG.

There's a small section they are preparing to pave.

Goes through the woods. Very nice. It'll be very cool when they get it done. Goes back to being paved for a short distance to a trail head along Hwy 21.

Then we were on these really gorgeous back roads.

This is Hwy 17 with varying shoulder but you can tell they are working on it.

Beautiful!

Such an enjoyable ride today. Are we in South Carolina?

A little side trip we took to have a snack!

Gary and Lois offered these little chairs and I grabbed one.

They are the child size camp chairs you can get at Walmart! Works great!

We are staying at Edisto Motel tonight. Susan greeted us. Her husbands family built this in 1946!

This is in front of our room.

Actually they built this restaurant first and it was very popular. It closed 20 years ago. They are restoring all the rooms that surround it.
