Bike paths, surfers, dolphins, pelicans, rolling hills and sunshine

Montara hostel to Davenport Roadhouse

Montara Lighthouse hostel was very nice. Two big kitchens with plenty of room to cook and eat with a view of the ocean. strange there was only two toilets for everyone in the main building! We had a room all to ourselves.

I slept like a rock!

We rolled out of the hostel and rode along the bike path. Saw porpoises/dolphins. This stork was so close I could get his picture with my cell phone!

Bill ShaneyfeltLooks like a great blue heron. Amazing to me how widespread they are. Fairly common here in Ohio.

Janet Anspach-RickeyHi Bill,
Yes, he is a heron. Stork is slang for heron. Sorry I'm so sloopy with my terminology. Thanks for keeping me straight up. Where are you in Ohio? I lived in Dayton for a couple of years!

Pigeon Point Lighthouse Hostel. It is full tonight due to an environmental group renting the whole thing.

We stopped at this little fruit stand to take a break. Emma got some very nice strawberries here.
