Another Amazing Day in the Desert

Quartzsite fo Salome

Stephen woke up in the middle of the night with his neck all locked up and he was in alot of pain. I worked him and helped him with positioning and he was able to fall asleep. I eventually got back to sleep. We realized we are on Mountain Standard time so we had to move the clocks ahead an hour. We got up a little later and had coffee and packed up. We headed for McDonalds for breakfast. There were a couple of fellows outside the store who were drinking coffee and looking a bit hungry so we bought them some breakfast.

Inside we met Mark and Laura who sold everything and travel around in their Casita. They also have a van with five bikes in it! They like to ride. They also have a motorcycle.

Bill ShaneyfeltYou may already know the big cacti are Saguaros.

The smaller ones with dark stems and light tops are teddy bear cholla cacti.

The trees with green trunks and branches are palo verde trees.

The larger dark green bushes are creosote bushes. Very interesting!

A little piece of heaven here in Salome. Randy worked 14 years putting this together on weekends.

Randy planted desert plants all over the property and built lots of spots to rest in the shade. We are taking tomorrow off to do just that!

William AbbeyI thought this entry is pretty good. Much better than most journal pages that present facts and a picture of lunch or dinner. Good job and congratulations to Emma and her election to office.
