Spring in Alaska … really just means one day in the 40’s, the next day in the teens, followed by the next day back in the 30’s.  This last week saw the full spectrum but the snow continues to melt and the roads continue to clear which means the outdoor cycling season is starting to bloom.  I was able to ride 5 days outside this week including the indoor riding and am looking forward to April being even more outside miles.

We also had another realization this week when I got an inquiry on our old recumbent panniers.  Arkel made a RT-40 pannier for a number of years to work with the recumbent bike industry.  We used ours when we cycled the first 1000 miles of the Lewis n Clark Trail but had stored them since.  

Now we have made even more changes to our cycling style and they were no longer needed.  Fortunately, another recumbent rider needed a replacement for his old ones and one set is on the way to a new home.
