Day 18 - The Oro Valley Return
Every trip it seems involves the one day of LOTS of driving to get from one place to another. Today was our day as we left Las Cruces to return to Tucson: 4 hours of interstate driving, no real reason to stop along the way, just get it done so we can fit in an afternoon ride.
So that’s what we did.

This time we are staying on the north side of the city which gives us easy access to the top of the Loop as well as the area surrounding Marana. As time was shorter, we simply got on the trikes and headed back up the Oro Valley which is a pleasant ride at any time.
The path was not nearly as busy as I would have expected given the perfect weather and we seemed to encounter more runners that cyclists.
We opted to find a late lunch given that we hadn’t eaten since breakfast and diverted off the path to find a Subway before finishing the ride and then returning back down the Oro Valley with a little job to the north to our accommodations.
We did find a new mural along North La Canada Drive.
Today's ride: 30 miles (48 km)
Total: 1,626 miles (2,617 km)
