Porto to Acrozelo
Spending time wandering about Porto was our priority for the day so we opted for a short day of cycling. You could easily spend 2-3 visiting the museums, plazas, cathedral, and other sights in Porto. Views from the highest part of the city are spectacular.
Our coastal route took us to some charming fishing villages. We enjoyed another lunch on the beach provided by a local market and a leisurely ride in to Acrozelo.
We decided to stay at an AirBnb, Casa da Granja, located in a mansion complete with a swimming pool just 2 blocks from the sea. That evening we shared a bottle of wine with a family from South Africa on the lovely patio of the Airbnb and shared our travel experiences in Portugal. Coimbra was one of their favourite places as it has the oldest library in Europe. They highly recommended a visit to this city.
