Gafanha to Figueira da Foz
When in doubt on which direction to go ask a local cyclist for help.
Gafanha da Bora Hora and Praia de Mira were both lovely fishing villages with a few cafes open as many were seasonal.
This was our longest day in the saddle. We did have a gravel stretch of road to cross in an area that may have been a nature reserve. We were ready for a day of rest, exploration, and laundry so we picked Figueira da Foz as our final destination for the day. It is a large city on the coast with a massive beach area. It has all the amenities you need.
