Coimbra to Valaha(by train) 4 km to Nazare'
Getting the bike on the train was not an issue. It was great to have this option as we were running out of time.
Nazare' has an underwater cayon with a dept of 5 km and 230 km long thus producing extremely high waves. A quaint fishing town with cafes and souvenior shops. On a Sunday it was full of people enjoying a warm, bright day on the beach.
Spent some time strolling on the beach and admiring the waves. My husband was brave enough to swim for about 10 minutes!
Stayed at Hotel Praia.
