Down the Inn to Rattenberg

It was raining a bit when we got up so we looked at the detailed weather forecast and delayed our start for about an hour of so and consequently had hardly a drop of rain all day. We felt we hadnt done Innsbruck justice at all - we didn't even have a cup of coffee there. What a beautiful bike trail leads you in and out, our city fathers could learn a lot.

After Innsbruck there is a fair amount of industry and you need to keep your eyes fixed on the mountains and the little communities nestled up there. The Inn is beginning to lose its beautiful milky blue typical of a glacier feed river and become greyish. There are lots of wonderful little side streams rushing down the mountainside to join it. It is getting to be a very big river indeed.

Our Pension at Rattenberg when we reached it is lovely with avery friendly woman running it. The town or rather village itself is a little gem complete with 2 castles, an outdoor theatre and a most attractive church with a pointy spire. I think I like pointy spires better than onion dome ones.

Teddy and Stella stayed in our hotel lost night the are ready for the show they are going today
