Lake Stanley Draper Trail, OK
We noticed on our Trails App what looked like a short ride on the south side of Oklahoma City which lined up nicely for the drive to Wichita Falls despite the overcast conditions. We also noticed the Lake Stanley Draper Trail was a loop around a lake versus an and out and back, a nice change.
Not a noticeably long ride but a nice series of ups and downs with changing scenery which was a nice change. Right as we started the rain came so we quickly turned around for the van to wait it out and then started again. As the trail was wet we did notice that lack of rear fenders on our trikes but given this was the first moisture of the trip, we counted it as a win regardless.
After our ride, we met yet another old friend from Alaska who was on the way to Texas and we enjoyed a nice visit before getting to Wichita Falls.
