Day 13 - Mansfield again
A loop ride
We are in Mansfield Victoria for a 2nd day on what was supposed to be a rest day but since we have had some aborted rides getting here Ron, Deb and I opted for a short loop ride of 51km. The ride had some asphalt and some dirt roads with rolling terrain. The weather has improved and was almost warm. We stopped a small local zoo so Ron could finally see a live wombat. We have come across several as road kill and I have seen them live when in Tasmania but Ron had not seen a live one. From there we rode to Gough’s Bay hoping to have lunch but there was nothing open except a general store so we headed back to Mansfield for beer and wood fired pizza. There has been a big car race/rally in town all weekend which is why we did not climb Mt Buller. We will come back to climb it next week. Not climbing was fine with me because again there is snow on the mountain.
