9/3/19 - 9/4/19 - San Carlos and Palo Alto
Nice leisurely 18-mile ride from San Carlos to Palo Alto today, Tuesday. Also, Rose took the train from San Francisco to Palo Alto to meet back up at the end of the day.
We had nice overnight accommodations at the home of WS host David. He is involved in many cycling initiatives and is really helping to make a difference here. He graciously offered to let us stay a second night which helps a lot as we near the end of this fun journey.
On Wednesday Rose and I cycled 11 miles around Palo Alto using a route map that David provided. Tonight I treated him to dinner out, so we ended up gaining an additional four miles. Every little bit counts. Today’s total of 1033 miles exactly matches my first tour in 2008.
Tomorrow we head to San Jose, so after that I will have a new high in touring mileage!
