On the way

We left Savannah, GA on May 9, in our recently converted sprinter van (van life, right?). We are on our way to see some bike touring friends and see some sights on the way to Silver City, NM. The morality of van life is dubious at best, but here we are. I never saw myself in a van, but during our last 6 months, we were looking for another creative project and ended up with a van after considering box trucks and school buses as alternative living situations. Ever since selling the tiny house, we - and I should define "we" as Mary and me - have been looking for our next housing situation. I was always opposed to living in something with an engine, but the laws restricting tiny homes are too widespread, and the insurance issues with skoolies are just as bad. At least with a van, I can insure it, and the neighborhood cant kick it out. Its not forever, but its something and it should be a transition for us to move into a "conventional" house sometime after the bike trip.
