You might be wondering why this post is titled Yellowstone since I am nearly 300 miles beyond Yellowstone National Park.
I just rode by Chief Joseph Ranch which at 2,500 acres is not even in the top 10 ranches in the state. The ranch became famous as the Dutton ranch in the TV series Yellowstone. The last season of Yellowstone started filming today and the ranch was busy. Lots of security out front, dozens of vehicles parked and lots coming and going. For this reason I could not get a good photo so I grabbed the following one from the web
Just a few miles down the road, just before Darby, was the area for extras. Dozens of cars and horse trailers parked and more cowboy hats that I could count. Two large tents I assumed were used for food and shade. If I had my horse instead of my bike and a cowboy hat I would have fit right in
