Hegben Lake is northwest of Yellowstone and was formed by damming up the Madison river. On April 17, 1959 a magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck with epicenter at the lake. A huge landslide was triggered that had so much debris moving downhill it generated 100 mph winds ahead of it. The landslide choked off the Madison River just downstream from Hegben Lake resulting in 28 deaths and the formation of Earthquake Lake.

I put 3 foot poles on both sides of my driveway to make it easy to snowblow. They take it to a new level in Montana with 10 foot poles
