I rode 63 miles today from Chanute to Eureka. In that entire distance there was just one convenience store/deli. No other restaurants, gas stations, hotels, or convenience stores. I had a nice lunch at the one stop
The photo of my bike on the side of the road has no power poles. I went several long stretches with no houses, hence no power poles. Yep, middle of nowhere
Today's ride: 63 miles (101 km)
Total: 1,642 miles (2,643 km)

Steve ClarkThe wild frontier still exists. Can't wait to see what Wyoming feels like to ya. The Chief Washakie Trail looks pretty remote. Maybe a team of horses and a prairie schooner would be a good way to travel, after all. Can you carry enough food and water to span the gaps?
