Day 33 - How fast, how far?
Spent the night inside a Lutheran church which acts as a bike hostel. Another biker, Sean, was also there, interesting guy. He was career Army, retired, and has been on/off the road on his bike for the past 4 years riding nearly 10,000 miles. He rides for wounded warriors. Eight months ago he took in an abandoned dog and now they travel together with the dog riding in a pull behind trailer
We woke today to thunderstorms which delayed my departure until 12:30. Only rode 31 miles to the Super 8 in Chanute
People are always asking how far do I ride each day and how fast do I ride. I try to average 50 miles each day at a 10mph pace. The range though has been between 30 and nearly 70 miles and my daily mph has ranged from 8.8 to 11.5
