Crossed over into Kansas today. I am on the lookout for Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman, and Lion. I am hoping I can outrun the Wicked Witch of the West on my Trek bike

Pulled into Pittsburgh, Kansas and saw gorilla statutes all over town. Pittsburg State University is in town with an enrollment of 7,400 students and a gorilla mascot

Steve ClarkYour elevation chart shows huge hills. In Kansas?

Also, it shows 100F. Is it brutally hot? Be careful. As I’m sure you know, heatstroke can kill. Sneak right up on you.

Stay cool, Mr. Henderson.

David HendersonTo Steve ClarkKansas is nearly flat, probably did 1,000 feet of elevation across 60 miles
Weather has been in the high 70s, great for biking. I have been drinking a lot of water to stay hydrated
