Five years ago on a sunny summer weekend we were about to begin one of our favorite local rides on the Western Maryland Rail Trail. As we started west on the 10' wide paved trail we glanced over to the south parking area and noticed a nice silver van type camper parked there. And so we thought.

Wouldn't it be great if.... we could travel around the country in a camper riding bike trails. At that time, we were both still working so it was a dream at that point. But as we pedaled through the trees shading the trail we imagined what it would be like to travel and cycle, seeing new places and meeting new people who were  enjoying the same things.
