Chumpon to Sawi

Today it was a rather short but whimsical drive through the inland.

First, a soup on the way out of Chumphon. Very tasty. Frequenting the ladies on the roadside is always a good choice, since it’s actually always good.

Then over good roads through densely overgrown grassland.
In between a piece over gravel and clay in the middle of the (somewhat wilder than usual) palm plantation. Really nice 🌴🌴🌴

Now we are in Sawi and wanted to stay in the Palmview Resort.
They could not offer us a bungalow that we liked.
So now we are in the Pimarn Hotel.
And that is really nice "back to the routes".
After all the exclusivities of the last days, it's now like „in the old days“. Room, bed, bathroom - toilet without water connection. We have to shovel water in from the barrel.
There's no fridge, so the beer is cooled in the old fashioned way in the bucket.
Wonderfully simple everything 🥰
And the housemother is totally concerned and worried - although we understand not word the other uses 😍😂🤣

We had dinner in the small town - Pad Krapao (that's how it's pronounced and everyone understands it. The spelling varies).

And the one who forgets to say that it should please not be so hot must suffer and / or sort out numerous chilies 🥵🤯

In a moment we will plan the rest of the trip. We always start the tour with - I think it fits approximately. And then at some point we actually start to plan 🤷‍♀️😉

Always good to know, how long the red phase (and green phase) will last

This nice gentleman tried to help us to find accommodation

Heute gab es eine recht kurze, aber launige Fahrt durchs Landesinnere.

Zunächst ein Süppchen bei der Rausfahrt aus Chumphon. Sehr lecker. Bei den Damen am Straßenrand schmeckt es eigentlich immer.

Dann über gute Straßen durch dicht bewachsenes Grünland.
Zwischendurch ein Stück über Schotter und Lehm mitten durch die (etwas wildere als sonst) Palmenplantage. Richtig schön 🌴🌴🌴

Jetzt sind wir in Sawi und wollten eigentlich im Palmview Resort unterkommen.
Die konnten uns keinen Bungalow bieten, der uns gefallen hat.
Somit sind wir jetzt im Pimarn Hotel.
Und das ist so richtig schön "back to the routes".
Nach all den Exklusivitäten die letzten Tage, ist's jetzt mal wie früher. Zimmer, Bett, Bad - mit Klo ohne Wasseranschluss. Aus der Tonne selbst Wasser rein schippen.
Kühlschrank gibt's nicht, also wird das Bier nach alter Manier im Eimer gekühlt.
Herrlich einfach alles 🥰
Und die Hausmutti ist total bemüht und besorgt - obwohl wir gegenseitig kein Wort verstehen 😍😂🤣

Essen waren wir im Städtchen - Pad Krapao (so wird's ausgesprochen und jeder versteht's. Die Schreibweise variiert).
Und wer vergisst zu sagen, dass es bitte nicht so scharf sein soll muss leiden und / oder zahlreiche Chilis aussortieren 🥵🤯

Gleich wird der weitere Fortgang der Reise geplant. Wir fahren ja immer erstmal los - "passt ungefähr". Und dann schauen wir mal 🤷🏼‍♀️😉
