Franz Josef rest day: Glacier and hot pool visits
After a long day in the saddle yesterday we have a well earned rest day in Franz Josef. This morning we took a short hike to the foot of the Franz Josef glacier as seen in the photos below. We are currently having lunch in a restaurant with better internet than our hotel so this may be it for the day. Later today we are planning a visit to the hot pools and possibly a visit to the kiwi house to see live Kiwis There is definitely a nap in my future. Tomorrow we are off again starting with the Three Sisters climbs if it is not raining.
