Day 8: Nevers to Saint Satur again: A short visit to Apremont sur Allier

The day I left Jean Jacques and Babette to come back. They will continue their journey to Loire river source.

Nevers across the Loire a waking up. People are coming here mainly for biking and canoeing

Brioche aux pralines. Perfect for cycling people and non cycling. A specialty from Grenoble.

The Loire at this point had a very strong stream and is all brown

The door is 9 m high, it is one of the highest lock. Water pressure on the door is very high and the door opening are powered by an hydraulic system

Apremont sur Allier was also the other goal of my trip. This city is the property of one man who also owned the castle of Brissac near Angers; So all inhabitants are renting these beautiful houses.

Apremont is having a floral park created by Gilles of Brissac, grand son og Eugène & Antoinette Schneider. The park is opened since 1977 also counting an exhibition on Gustave Eiffel.

Apremont sur Allier is also having a floral parc, no time to visit. Too tight schedule.
