Kyle of Lochalsh, Scotland: Another ambition achieved
FOR YEARS - well for three decades, really - we've been telling each other we're going to take the train from Inverness to the Kyle of Lochalsh.
To be honest, there's nothing at the start of the journey and there's nothing at the end. Inverness sounds romantic but it's dull and sullenly resigned to the Highland weather, and Kyle is a harbour town hanging on mainly because people go there by train.
And they go because it's such a beautiful journey.
