We ate in front of the train station and the Ibis with Pauline and John from Christchurch who were starting for Toulouse today on the same track we have just finished

We had a gentle start today with breakfast about 8. We didn’t leave the hotel till 9.30 and first set off to get the bikes released, into the ticket office and the man who was there yesterday spotted me and set off to the door to let us in. The bikes were fine, we walked them the 200m to the Ibis and loaded up and they gave us breakfast for nothing because of the bikes
We then took our time going along the bike and walking paths beside the river. There is a long line of Victorian era buildings along the front. We came to a large sailing ship called Le Galleon- it certainly looked like a Galleon of the Spanish Amanda to me - high out of the water. There were many people on it. is it going to sail?
There were lots of activities along the riverside runners, walkers, cyclists, physical jerks, scooters and skate board parks
The turn off from the river was well signed and in fact the signage on the complex route was fantastic. We went past a lake, under a motorway and later joined a rail trail that brought us right here
This little town has now joined the edge of Bordeaux and is growing rapidly. One can still detect the remnant of the little centre. Hotel de Ville and Church. the Ibis is great we have got a disabled room
Today's ride: 22 km (14 miles)
Total: 1,938 km (1,203 miles)
