We barely slept the night due to wind, sand. Interestingly cold was never an issue even though we were right nect to snow-topped Chimbarazo..
Amount of snow that blew-in over the night..
We packed up after trying to get rid of sand and hit the road hoping to rest in the nearest town/hospejade. The views along the way were beautiful.
Fortunately an old, abandoned empedrado route has been converted into a bike path and I never saw another soul until I got close to next communidade.
Because this is Ecuador, we had to encounter one more derrumbe...:-)
And, another sign reminding you to share the path with ciclistas..:-)
