Our route planner had doubts about our exit from the park today. She came up with a new route. I stayed with the previous route and got out easily.
We were told we could get into the lodgings tonight at any time. Ken and I set a good clip back to Walker. We actually did a fair bit of the route from two days ago in reverse. So we were back on the Paul Bunyan and Shingobee and Heartland. We started paralleling Leech Lake back before Walker. We are staying at a place across the street from Leech Lake but about 10 miles down the road.

I am pretty sure there are loons on the lake. Also EA Phoebe and Chipping Sparrow and Palm and Yellow-Rumped Warbler. Also a few out of season C Grackles.
