Spring in the Midwest - a season recently characterized by heavy rains, extensive flooding, high winds, and late season snowstorms.  Undaunted, I have planned three short Midwest tours in May: a section of the famed Katy Trail in Missouri; the Mesabi Range in Minnesota; and the Tallgrass Prairie in Kansas. Each will last only three days, although I am leaving open the possibility of extending my time in northern Minnesota. 

First up is the Katy Trail with my youngest sister Ann.  We will meet in Sedalia, MO on May 1, spend three days cycling, and return to Sedalia by train.  Just like Europe, only not!
