A day off in any town often means getting cleaned up. After yesterday’s ride which ended in the rain on a muddy trail both our bikes and our clothes needed cleaning. Once that was accomplished we headed out to take a walking tour of Charlottetown. We ended up meeting with some of the others for a great lunch in a sweet Vietnamese restaurant. Then John G., John S., and I walked a bit. We checked out the harbor where there was a huge cruise ship, sauntered through a city park, checked out the Basilica, saw a short video about the confederation of Canada which actually got started at a conference of reps from all the Canadian provinces right here in Charlottetown.  I found it very interesting as I know essentially nothing about Canadian history and even just this small taste was special. It’s a little embarrassing to realize how little I know about this great neighbor to our north.
