Our Gear -: What we will be riding and carrying along
On our cross Canada ride our bikes and gear worked out really well. Given that, we're not planning on changing too much.
We will be riding our single bikes (Toute Terrain Silk Roads), no tandem for this trip. The only change will be that we won't be using front panniers. We packed up our stuff and it all fits in our Ortlieb rear bags and a small rack bag. Here's a link to a more detailed description of the bikes from our last trip:
Once again we plan on camping when we can / need / or want to, so we will be carrying the requisite tent, sleeping bag, mattress etc. Again, pretty much exactly what we had for our cross Canada trip. Here's the link for more detail:
The one change for this trip is that we will be bringing along a small 11" computer and our Olympus OMD-5 camera (with a few lenses). On the last trip I did this entire journal on my iPhone 6+, including pictures. That worked OK for the most part, but a real computer and a real camera to capture better pictures seemed to be on order for this trip.
