Palmyra to Auburn

The next morning we had breakfast with our host, Margaret, who gave us a detailed history of the property and surroundings. She as well as my friend, Geri, recommended some alternative roads as the canal trail was still quite muddy. They recommended going towards Phelps, Waterloo, Seneca Falls and Auburn. Again google maps was our guide we did hit some pretty good hills but on low traffic roads.

It was overcast but no rain! We stopped in the town of Phelps at the Local Palate which offered a range of breakfast foods, coffee and muffins. to choose from.

Saunders market was our lunch stop before entering Seneca Falls. Both Geri and Margaret highly recommended a stop here to see this very large unique country store. . The store sells  a variety of meat, cheeses, jams, spreads, and more. and has a deli with a dining area.

The National Women's Hall of Fame, the Women's Rights National Historical Park, and the home of Elizabeth Cady Stanton are all located in Seneca Falls.  Do stop by the WomanMade Products store along the main street.  Our goal was to get to Auburn, NY by late afternoon.  We stayed in a local hotel in downtown Auburn with the plan of exploring the town in the morning.

Today's ride: 80 km (50 miles)
Total: 292 km (181 miles)
