St Day

The burn on Leigh's leg wasn't looking very good this morning, although she claimed she wasn't in any real discomfort. So we decided to have a rest day, catch up on some work and give her leg a day to heal a bit before getting back on the bikes. I road (up and then) down to the closest pharmacy in Redruth where I managed to get some more brun cream and some dressings. Leigh has been pretty chipper throughout the day and has managed to get some good work in as well. So all in all, not a wasted day.
A young American cyclists pulled into the campsite late yesterday evening. He too had struggled to keep to National Cycle Route 3 and had ended up on the same path as us., Unfortunately, he took a tumble on a rough gravel section heading down to St Day and a local villager patched him up. He was on his way again mid-morning.,
I have downloaded a GPX of National Cycle Route 3 and we will use it as a reference - sticking to it too closely isn't always the best route because at times it seems to have motorists interests at heart instead of cyclists.
Today's ride: 11 km (7 miles)
Total: 515 km (320 miles)
