We had earlier made a booking for a studio flat at the student accommodation we had stayed in when we passed through Edinburgh the previous month.  The idea was that we would get our laundry done and try to do some shoe shopping because our current Gore-Tex shoes are finally falling apart.  Check out from the campsite was only at twelve and check in at the flat at three so we had no need to rush.  After settling in at the flat we were both just too tired to think about looking for shoes so we ended up having an early night.
