Around the volcano; 1/04

Woke up around 6am and went to the deck area for a view, and was met with a bit of a dramatic scene of what I thought was a Sakurajima, an active volcano, but actually probably just a mountain and some cloud.

Rest of the day was straightforward. Took a ferry over to the real Sakurajima, and exchanged a few words with some school kids on holiday who I think were cycling around the volcano. 

Then a lot of flat ground to the campsite. Excellent facilities with warm showers (100¥/5 mins) and a Chinese restaurant around the corner with excellent serving sizes.
