We started out from Constance harbour and soon mixed in with the Vancouver crew for a while.

Someone was happy to find a huge farmers market!

We cruised along the Lake Constance coast, then up a bit higher and inland which offered some nice views and bike paths.

Nice paths much of the way today.

I’m not sure what this means, perhaps indicating to treat the normal intersection as a circle. There was little traffic here so it didn’t seem to matter anyway.

We relaxed with a park bench lunch at Wallhausen harbour.

After that we had what was warned as a hard climb that we could avoid, but chose to try it at least. We could always turn back if needed. But a steady pace got us up without any issue, though with some extra effort.

As we took the long descent down to Randolfzell we enjoyed fabulous views of the Gnadensee part of Untersee (Lower Lake Constance).

The quaintly named Markefinger Winkel bay of the Gnadensee at Randofzell.

We added a short ride along the Gnadensee after checking in to our hotel, where we had another interesting room, this time with retro red shag carpeting and matching tacky decor.

Our red shag carpet room 😵‍💫

Our hotel staff recommended a family restaurant with a nice patio in the old town for dinner. It was just fantastic.  And… the first salad bar we had seen this trip!

Our first dinner salad this trip.

The phone’s photo translation feature helped us a lot this trip. And some of the literal translations can be funny.
