Sailing, sailing on the ocean blue: An off the road and on the water restful day
Dan had serendipitously come into possession of a 27 foot sailboat, which he moored in South Seattle. He had been asking me to come up from Portland and show him how to sail and take a general survey of the boat for nearly a year, so today was the day. The storm had passed. The breeze was fresh. The sky was crystal clear with Mount Rainier and the Olympic Mountains in crisp view. It was a beautiful day for putting the boat and Dan through some shakedown paces on Elliot Bay. Both passed with smiling colors.
