Kim and I departed Carol's house this morning with something new: an escort. Carol escorted us for the first few miles on her bike, which contained a basket on the front for her dog, Rosie.

After parting company with Carol and Rosie, we hit M22 and pedaled a day that was divided into thirds, with a lunch break at a Jewish Deli in Frankfort, and a snack at Ridder's Bar in Arcadia.
While pedaling through Crystal Lake, a little girl along the side of the road said "Your bikes have a lot of stuff on them." Decorum prevented me from replying "Yeah . . . no shit!" Secondly today, we were forced to push our bicycles up the longest hills so far. Lastly, we ended up in a room at the Traveler's Motel in Onekama, and walked to the Blue Slipper for dinner.
Today's ride: 38 miles (61 km)
Total: 982 miles (1,580 km)
