Day 15 - 29 miles - Gold Beach, OR to Harris Beach State Park -just No of Brookings, OR
HILLS - !! That about covers it. We started right out at mile 2.5 today with a 900+ ft climb. Then I was led to believe by my guide (Jack) that we would just have rolling hills and then a decent into the camp. Well-not exactly. We did have four more rolling 500ft climbs and each was starting from zero!!! The hardest day for me so far and I was very glad it was only 29mi! We have meet some more great folks today and Joe and Genevieve from a few days ago are here too....and seven out of the ten bikes in camp are Surly LHT - Long Haul Truckers....we rule the road!The beach here is amazing and a must see if you camp here. It was very windy so be careful if you go.The question of the day is where next? Seems it is either another short pretty easy day to Crescent City or a long difficult day to Elk Prairie? Tomorrow will tell.Leaving Gold Beach
