Australia's First Peoples have been living on the Australian continent for millenia.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australia is made up of many different and distinct groups, each with their own culture, customs, language and laws. They are the world’s oldest surviving culture; cultures that continue to be expressed in dynamic and contemporary ways.

The cycle tour I’ve just completed passed through the country of several different Aboriginal language and cultural groups.

I began and finished the tour in Ngunawal country. It passed through Yuin, Tharawal, Eora and Gundingurra country.

I’d like to acknowledge the traditional owners; especially elders past, present and future who are the custodians of these beautiful lands.
