Allergies are a serious thing in Japan in the spring. We have been taking allergy pills daily but Mary Ellen has been getting sick. Having a history of respiratory stuff, plus allergies, she is finally ready to give up and rest a few days. To complicate matters, having left Hokkaido and being south on Honshu, the heat is more intense here. We have about 180 Km to reach Osaka, so we’ll stay here in Nagoya and then set out for Osaka. We’ll take it easy and average 40 Km a day.
Our home here will be the Daiwa Roynet Fushima…it is air conditioned, has a public bath, we have a large suite thanks to a booking.com upgrade, so…Barry will get to explore as much of Nagoya as he wants, considering the heat, and I will be a lady of leisure in the hotel, trying to get healthier for the ride ahead.
Arriving in Nagoya, we can see that the climate here is sub tropical, with palm trees in this park.
After being on the ferry for two days, we have emerged into a hot place. It is morning and we are already feeling the heat of mid 30’s Celsius. The tree shaded path is just what we are looking for.
